How to Add Person Schema Markup to Your Posts/Pages
Before we begin, you’ll need to ensure that Rank Math’s Schema Module has been enabled on your website by navigating to Rank Math > Dashboard in your WordPress admin area.
In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through how to use the Person Schema type on a post or page, as well as the various available settings for it – let’s get started:
1 Edit Your Post or Page
To add the Person Schema Type, first head over to the edit page for that post by clicking Edit as shown below:
2 Open Rank Math in the Gutenberg Sidebar
You can open Rank Math in the Gutenberg sidebar by clicking on the Rank Math SEO icon for the page.
Or you can also click the three vertical dots in the top right-hand corner of the edit page and select Rank Math in the Plugins section – as shown below:
3 Navigate to the Schema Settings for This Post/Page
Navigate to the Schema Settings by clicking on the Schema tab. Then click on Schema Generator.
4 Open Rank Math’s Schema Builder
Find Person from the list and click on Use to open the Schema Builder.
The Schema Builder will then open as shown below:

1 Headline
Enter the name of the person here or add a headline that contains their name. You can also make use of variables if you have already included it in the title of the post.
2 Description
Enter the description of the person in this field. Write a description that would attract the audience as well as the search engines. You can also use the variables to create a dynamic description of the person.
3 Shortcode
Copy and paste the shortcode in your content to print the Schema data in your website’s front-end.
4 Email
Enter the email address of the person in this field.
5 Address
Enter the address details of the person here, such as Street Address, Locality, Region, Postal Code, and Country. Enter the country in ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 format, for example, US
for the United States and CA
for Canada.
6 Gender
Enter the gender of the person. You can mention male, female or even enter a string for non-binary genders.
7 Job Title
Enter the job title of the person.
8 SameAs PRO
You can click the Add Property to add social media links and other website links, which helps search engines relate to other profiles of this person on the internet.
And, that’s it! Once you’ve finished adding all of the details regarding the person your webpage is about in their respective fields in Rank Math’s Schema Builder, simply click on Save for this Post.
Then, simply update the page as you normally would after making a change or click Publish (if this is a newly created post/page).
